File selection cleared after opening MRT in TC's program dir

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

File selection cleared after opening MRT in TC's program dir

Post by *petermad »

If I am in the program directory of the current TC instance, then if I select some files/dirs, open the Multi-rename tool and immediately press Esc or the Close button, then the selection in the panel is cleared.

This also happens if I have TC's program directory open in one panel and select some files switch to the other panel (with another dir opened), select some files and press Ctrl+M and then Exc or Close - then the file selection in opposite panel with TC's program dir is cleared, but not the file selection in the current dir.

In all other directories the selction is kept (when no changes has been made) - as expected.

This happens when something changes in the directory which causes TC to refresh the list. Not a bug.

I guess it is writing to wincmd.ini that triggers the update.
