Hi guys
This must be a old subject for a old chap to start asking now. I am using the LAN plugin in the Android app wherein i can easily access files in a shared folder through the wifi connection from a mobile.
I now want to understand how to do the same from my laptop that have total commander. My laptop is connected to the sane wifi and is accessing the internet to put up this thread.
I get no where with all the options in the Net menu option.
Appreciate a quick pointer.
How to connect to shared folder in wifi connection

You can use the command line or a button/start menu entry with command:
cd \\servername
or
cd \\servername\share
Or do you want to access your Android device this way? You can't do that because Android doesn't support the SMB protocol by default. You will have to run a server (e.g. FTP, WebDAV etc) and access that with a client like the built-in Total Commander FTP client.
