[WFX] Plugin for vhdx files needed

Post by *Mikefield »

I'm looking for a filesystem plugin to open vhdx files (Windows System Image Backup)
in Windows Home Server 2011 or Windows 7. Is that just available?

I guess this is to old and will not recognize the VHDX format.
Its only compatible with he old VHD format from VirtualPC.

This doesn't work in Windows 7 for VHDX files.

People say that VirtualBox is able to convert VHDX to VHD, and then VHD may be mounted in Windows 7 directly, perhaps VirtualBox is able to attach it to virtual machine too, in such case one can take files via virtual machine...

Thanks MVV, I converted it with Powershell, this was also suggested in your link.
It's a pity that no wfx plugin is available.
