Hiding certain file types

Post by *straycat »

I have a Sony Bravia Android-TV and installed Total Commander basically for one purpose: I want to play video files from a NAS. Well, I managed to create a bookmark that points to the directory on the NAS that containes the videos. These videos all play fine with VLC.

The "problem" is, that also my kids and wife should be able to use this, and as soon as there are other files than the actual video-files, they are somehow ... overchallenged :-)

So I would like to hide certain file types from being displayed. I want to exclude them by file extension. How can this be done?

EDIT: Well ... I kind of found out how this can be done. In the options you can create an ignore list. I tried this on my mobile phone (*.ext) and it did the trick, but on the Sony-TV it does not work ... is this because the files are not local, but on a NAS?

Indeed ignore lists currently only work for local files, not for any plugins.

Thanks for the clarification. A pity though ...
