Making the password visible (encrypted archives)

Is there a setting somewhere that will replace the default asterisks when you enter an archive password for decryption with the real text characters of the password?

No, there isn't setting to show password, but there are some settings to keep the password in the memory so that you don't have to enter the same password again, these settings are RememberLastPassword, KeepPackerPassword and KeepMasterPassword

Is it a TC thing that keeps the password concealed, or is it forced by the external packer?
