I've been a TC user since I can remember, and absolutely love this program. Got hooked to a two pane philosophy back when Norton Commander was still a thing... but I digress
For a while now I've been experiencing a delay when initiating file copy or move operations with ctrl+x or ctrl+c. Whenever I press either key combo, I get a spinning cursor for about three seconds. As someone who organized his life around a carefully curated hierarchy of files and folders, I watch this animation for minutes a day.
For files outside the Google Drive synced master folder, the delay is much shorter, somewhat below one second. This is likely more of a Drive issue but since Google isn't likely to bother, maybe there's something TC could do as a workaround?
Will be more than happy to help debug, I'm a programmer. Windows 10 20H2, TC 9.51, Drive 3.55.3625.9414.

Re: Slow file clipboard copy/move with Google Drive
Well, do you get the same thing when copying files another way, like drag'n'drop or F5 copy dialog? How does Windows/File Explorer behave?

Thanks for the reply, coming back after a few days offline. Drag&drop works without delay, so does F5/F6. Windows Explorer is instantaneous too.
Re: Slow file clipboard copy/move with Google Drive
So, as I am bumping – is anyone else experiencing these kinds of delays with TC + Google Drive?
