[REQ] GMail Drive plugin
GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage medium.
GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to.

My request is if somebody could make a 'shell' FS plugin for TC that uses the GMailFS.DLL so we can use this GMail Drive in TC instead of having to use Explorer.

Thanks to you I discovered this usefull soft...
I also deplore the fact that TC don't recognize the "Gmail drive"...
and i'm also waiting for a pluging or an upgrade that shall made this virtual drive usable with TC... it would be great !

Re: [REQ] GMail Drive plugin
You can use GMail Drive in TC if you create a shortcut for it. It seems not possible to add a picture here, otherwise I can show it. The shortcut can be created from GMail Drive menu, then you can put it under any folder as you want. Unfortunately, it seems not possible to put it on hotlist or toolbar.Maxwish wrote: My request is if somebody could make a 'shell' FS plugin for TC that uses the GMailFS.DLL so we can use this GMail Drive in TC instead of having to use Explorer.
Thanks Winflowers for your answer,
I succeeded in creating a short cut for "Gmail drive"... but when I launch it Win said "Missing shortcut" ... he searched for a long time without founding something... so I clicked on cancel... and oh surprise...the connection is ok...
So I tried another way to activate directly the "Gmail drive"...
I succeed to acces on "GMail Drive" with TC but the way I followed seems not to be the simplest one...
but it works for me
I added manually into the wincmd.ini under the topic [Righttabs]
after the 4 existing tabs those 3 lines :
The path is the one found into the created shortcut..., don't forget to adapt the first number of each lines...
Somebody knows how to make it more easy ?
Thanks in advance
Sorry for my poor english

Btw, has anyone tried to access the GMail drive via Commands - Open Desktop Directory? This will work if you can access GMail via the Desktop or via "My Computer".

Thanks for your answer,
I just tried both of your suggestion...
and as I said in my previous post :
but when I launch it Win said "Missing shortcut" ... he searched for a long time without founding something... so I clicked on cancel... and oh surprise...the connection is ok...
With the 2 solutions I described (editing wincmd.ini for tab and Hotlist)
all is OK it works fine and without trouble...
Before I added the .lnk Gmail Drive doesn't appear in TC drive list but well in the Win Explorer...

Where exactly does it appear in Explorer? Have you tried going via "Open desktop directory" as I suggested? Maybe it appears in "My Computer" in TC.

Just a click on the Icon of "My Computer" a list of all drives appear and + Configuration Panel + GMail Drive without Letter.
With Explore the same...
Note : I have a virtual drive ; he is also in the list on the right place
With TC only physical drives, virtual drive and Configuration panel appears... No trace of GMail drive...

Vansumsen,
I have installed the GMail plugin today and was excited to find such an excellent tool for my great gmail account. However I was disapointed to find that Total Commander did not support GMAIL in the drive list.
I've tried your solutions and couldn't find [Righttabs] in my wincmd.ini
file, could you explain me how you got it there and how you access it from within totalcmd ?

Hi Cyx,
The simplest way to create a [righttab] (or [lefttab]) :
Open a tab... right click on the tab >> Lock the tab...
The Configuration >> Save Position and / or Save Settings
Exit TC
Restart TC and have a look to the new Wincmd.INI it must be there..

Fragile section !

Hello Paul !
[righttab] and / or [lefttab] is(are) really created like you say, but you are condemned to keep the folder-tabs always !
- Whether you suppress the display of the tabs using the command cm_visDirTabs this section is immediatly removed totally in <wincmd.ini>, title and instruction-row(s) if you close / restart TC.
- It could be simply commented, then uncommented when the folder-tabs display is invoked again :
Kind regards,
Claude
