@everybody_looking_for_a_small_and_stable_RSS_reader:

 Try Abilon :!:

It was initially posted by icfu in an other thread.
I've posted it here, because IMO it belongs here too.

all,
Do the RSS feeds work correctly for you? I am using the "general' feed (ie all forums in one feed), already have 4065 messages, but some of the new ones aren't caught. For instance the initial posts about the Wiki or the initial posts of 1> Export File list 2> Write Protection. I am using NewzCrawler 1.7.0.2460, going to try 1.8 beta 7.

How fast is the RSS feed "updated"? I mean, for how long do posts stay in the feed? One day? 12 hours?

TIA
Roman

I use separate feeds and I got all the initial posts you mentioned.
It probably generates rss for 25 last posts.

I mainly use rss plugin for Miranda.

Not sure if it could help but have a look here

You can choose how many last posts you want to retrieve with url parameters

BTW AFAIK my RSS (Feedreader) is working fine now

Yes, you are right. 25 is probably the default value.
2Hacker
You can increase it eg. like this:

How about having the little orange XML icon so we can just subscribe to the feed instead of having to do autodiscovery and then try to figure out which of the indecipherable URL's is the forum we want?

Aww I was just posting a fix to the discoverer addon when I noticed it seems made already

If you can talk Chr. Ghisler into adding this tiny mod to the forum too, you'll have the RDF some has asked for - that is, headings ('topics') only.
It's in fact a quite old version of the current RSS mod - unfortunately it seems to be lost on phpbb.com for some reason. It's written by Itst (Sascha Carlin), teamleader of phpbb.de so you may be able to find a more recent version there, if needed.
This is quite simple: it only shows public forums (no login feature like RSS 2.2.3); f= (forum) and c= (count) features precisely like RSS; default all public forums, 15 topics; 2-file addon, no modding needed.

I second that. I don't know Dutch or Spanish, how could it be useful for me to get those posts?? Apart from that this is a splendid idea :)
