I think, it should be changed to 2006. ;)

Well, during startup, for me, the time till TC fully shows, is shorter (subjective impression :)) than not showing a startup screen... But everybody as he likes... :)

There should be no speed gain turning off the startup screen, but you can turn it off if it annoys you.

You're right, but as I said, the subjective impression, seeing what's going on makes the program start faster... IMHO

Imaging: A program needs to do a lot of SQL queries on a large DB at startup. The startup process lasts about 2 minutes... Now imaging the program not having a startup screen with progress information....

Sure, it's not comparable with TC but you can see what I'm trying to say.
