FTP Directory listing is out of date

Post by *jimwdurbin »

It would be very useful to be able to refresh the FTP directory file list to prevent having to disconnect and reconnect to the FTP site to see changes.

This is the current scenario.

User A connects to FTP site X and displays the contents of an arbitrary directory TARGET.

User B connects to FTP site X and sends a new file to that same directory TARGET.

User A cannot see the new file. Navigating up a level and back down to directory TARGET does not cause an update of the file list displayed on the machine for User A.

User A disconnects from FTP site X.

User A again connects to FTP site X and navigates to directory TARGET.

The new file is now listed.

A REFRESH button or an automatic update of the directory if the user navigates away from and back to the directory TARGET would do the trick.

F2 or Ctrl-R forces a refresh, just like with local drives.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
