[REQ] Change name in Thumbnails mode

Post by *Xtrician »

When changing name in TC in Thumbnails mode he take me to other place in the list and i lost time to go up again and rename other file .. one after one.
So i think on feature that i can to change file file and then i press refresh or something and all the filenames are changed.

For example, to make a feature that freeze thumbnails mode and make the thumbnail mode like a "picture" and when i change name he not go to other place in the list.

I check the unsorted command in TC too but after i change file he stiil go to other place.

I cant to use in MRT in this situation because i want to write the names manually with my conditions.

So this be very useful.
Check it. Thanks.

You could select more files, press Shift-F6 and enable "Rename each file separately".

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

1. RTFM
2. select the files
3. use Shift F6 & 'Rename each file separately'

This box needs the same functionality like regular rename.. that is... another Shift F6 should select various file name parts....

When you check mention option click OK and then start renaming... no move.

It is better to use standard "inline rename" in place of new "New name" dialog after I press OK. When I edit the file name and press {ENTER}, TC should open inline edit for next selected file. This way, it is more natural, and you can use functionality of inline rename that is missing in specialized dialog... also special dialog will be removed from the exe thus making it a llittle smaller.

Yes that would be great! I've seen this behaviour in ExactAudioCopy (the best audioripper ever btw.) and already requested this a while ago, but without success. I vote again for this feature!

It is the best becuase it's the only one that can rip the audio exactly . Read documentation for more info.

The file is not the same ! That is why it is the best. In short, it reads the cd as long as it obtains different values for same CD position. If it finds the same results for several reads of same position it stores that value and continues to next reads... so it can take much time for dirty cds...

To rip directly to mp3: Just copy the LAME.DLL file where eac.exe was copied and you will be able to use it in Compression options / LAME DLL.

I vote for OggVorbis.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!
