TAB bug

Post by *roentgen »

Hi all

I've created an entry in autoplay aplications for TC (with tweakui) for quick opening CDs.
The command line for this entry reads "

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\Totalcmd\totalcmd.exe" /O /T "%L"
(%L stands for root of CD in windows/explorer terms :D)
Obviously what I want is to let an already opened TC read the CD in a NEW TAB. I mention that I have a locked tab in the left panel. When TC is already open everything works as expected but when there's no TC running the CD (F:\) opens, but in the locked tab not in a new tab as the switch /T says. Moreover the locked tab remains "locked" with F:\ as current dir not with the desktop as I have set it.... I have to unlock the tab , change back to desktop, rename and lock the tab again.

This also happens if I set a similar entry in the "Send To" menu...

command line seems one weak point of TC... even explorer has the option

Code: Select all

/select, "path to file"
so it highlights the desired file

/O only works for running TC, that's documented in the help file.

On startup TC just uses the first active tab and pollutes it with new content. ghisler knows about that glitch but won't fix it IIRC.

That /select switch is pretty cool, I agree...

There is a related bug report here which also affects command line:
