when I remove cd total commander hangs

when I browse a cd in totalcommander, and then remove the cd TC crashes. I even can't shutdown the computer, I have to force a shutdown.
How do I correct this bug?
I have tried:

noreread=D\
watchdirsexclude=D\

It does not work..

This error is caused by some virus scanners. Which one do you use?

Does the error go away when you disable it temporarily?

No, nothing happens when I disable permanent protection. Maybe I have to do it after a reboot?

Now this is strange:
I booted the pc
turned off virus protection
browsed cd and removed it
now totalcommander did not hang
turned on virus protection
tc still works!

so until futher it seems like it works, otherwise I'll be back!

Maybe it was still busy checking some files on the CD when you first ejected the CD?
