Like * which will select only files (with default config)
Is there any way currently to set , lets say /, to select only directories ? If not, I think this is nice request.
The only method I know now is to define search for directories and savE it and then call it with "expand selection", but this is far from convenient.

I already use that:
Some internal command would be enough
cm_selectdirectories
and as I said it is cumbersome. Why do we have * for files and no "*" for directories ?The only method I know now is to define search for directories and savE it and then call it with "expand selection", but this is far from convenient.

When I do a search on my C:\ -drive for '*.' and additional 'Attr. No folder' selectzed I get 536 files.Sir_SiLvA wrote:Press '+' on Numberblock
enter '*.'
u got what u want...
If you use XP you'll have at least the files HOSTS and SAM that will be found.
Otherwise I have lots of folders with dots in their name.
So I think the cm_selectDirectories is a good idea.

Wildcards are not enough to select directories, since nothing distincts them from normal fils except attribute. So, U can save search with attribute set to directory and then call it from "expand selection". That is only possible way today with TC, but it generaly requires pressing many keys instead just one. Of course if you use it a lot it will always be available with '+' + <ENTER> and this is what I use today.

Currently one can define a template for folders only and select this template in dialog appearing on Num +. This needs several keys to be pressed (Num +, Tab, Down{n times}, Enter), but it's possible to write a script that will do the same action on a single hotkey. So, it's not a great problem, I suppose.
Not that I object to the idea of adding cm_selectDirectories however.
