Post by *Xtrician »

1. Go to options and select mark color as black.
2. Be sure all setting like that:

Select few files and you see them like that:

Maybe its not called a bug but anyway please check and fix it.

Note:
This happen only with black color.

Confirm. WinXP Pro SP2, TC 6.54a.

BTW, not all the line becomes bold, but only the name (without extension). And also this bug is reproduced even when the font is bold already - it becomes even bolder. Here are my screens:

Actually I performed some tests and after that I consider it not a bug but a feature:

If you select the same color for font color and mark color the marked text will be displayed as bold.

This prevents the user to set colors tha don't allow to distinguish marked and unmarked files.

Very strange feature. Font is not bold. Every pixel of text has shadow of much the same color to the right of it. Therefore "bold" text is read badly and looks smeared.

If you really think it is a good idea to choose the same colour for both font color and mark color and are disturbed by the 'virtual bold' just click to the >> button beside either font color or mark color and change the color by in/decreasing one of the components by 1 digit. Then the 'virtual bold' wil be disabled while you will not be able to distinguish between marked and not marked files.

I think this has been built in to prevent questions like:

Since I choosed my own colour set I cannot mark files anymore.

I think it is a windows feature in the listbox. If you turn off font smoothing in windows (antialiasing of fonts), you will not see the effect.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!
