to support scripts?

Post by *st »

i always want a couple of commands to be executed in a row. but can only assign a hotkey one command.
writing a AHK script for this seems an option. but what if TC supports this kind of scripting itself

Maybe a stupid remark, because I miss something here , but how about batch-files as a Dos-command ?

We are talking about macros&scripts to do things that can't be done with batch-files.

I dont think a new macro language is necessary. What rather counts is a careful export of all accessible functions into a (preferably COM) class model hierarchy, so all scripting languages supporting that model can be used.

COM sucks
Everything is better then not having scripting possibilities. I also don't like complications intruduced as side-effects of COM programming, but this job can also be done easier today with C templates or similiar. I have example of creating shell extensions where COM is totally transparent.

But enough of this talk... this is not going to happen anyway.
