ALT+TAB and quicksearch

Post by *bugmenot »

If you ALT+TAB of the TC while quicksearch is active when you get back to the TC quicksearch will be closed but file focus will be lost. Bug?

Confirmed.

And I consider it a bug.

This happen if quicksearch window lost focus by Alt+Tab or any other method even if you are still in TC window and clicked any file
i think this is normal
but file focus will be lost.
i don't understand what you mean?

Of course, closing the QuickSearch window is not a bug (at least, I personally don't consider it as a bug).
but file focus will be lost.

After you perform these actions, there is no focus in TC window. The cursor is not present in any of file panels, neither is it present in the command line.

But confirmed under WinXP.
Where does your cursor reside?

It seems indeed to be another special XP-Bug.

BTW if you switch twice to the other App and back TC gets the focus again. Using TAB brings the focus back, too.

As the Bug is already confirmed by @ghisler (in the beta forum) we can hope it will be fixed in next version.
SO long we'll have to work around.

Indeed it's an XP bug, it doesn't happen on Windows 2000, NT, or 9x. I will try to find a workaround.
