drive buttons

Is it possible to get the drive buttons to show the root directory, and not the last visited one? Each time i have to press ctrl \ to get to the root directory...

Edit your Wincmd.ini (the location is displayed when you choose Halp->About Total Commander...) and add in the section

Code: Select all

[Configuration]
AlwaysToRoot=1

mmm, hey that's strange I didnt't find it in wincm.ini
is it possible? I'm using 6.53

oh well, I've just added it, but is it normal that some keys are missing and you have to add them to edit those functions?

anyway now it works fine!

Yes, this is the usual action with INI files. A program usually reads values from INI file, and if some parameter is absent, it's supposed to have a default value.

I did not mean that you should have checked the wiki before but wanted point your attention to this particular page for there are some interesting settings mentioned.
