Improvement: 'Send To' functionality

Post by *wblanken »

A nice improvement of Total Commander would be the possibility to use the 'Send To' functionality as present in the Windows Explorer to perform actions as create a shortcut, mail a file, or use another editor. It should use the options in the SendTo folder under Documents and Settings.

Do I misunderstand something? On my system the send to functionality works fine. (Version 6.02)

Check option:
Configuration -> Options -> Operation - >Mouse selection mode - and choose Windows standard
or
Press right button of mouse and keep pressed a bit longer.

• The same... Maybe wblanken doesn't know that "Send To" is set in the local-menu, open with a right-click on the file ?

   Kind regards,

The reason for the misunderstanding was that I didn't even know that you can choose "Send To" from the file menu in the explorer. :-)

ok.
How about a short-cut key for the Send to action?

This is what I'm trying to do (XP can do it...not sure if Win2000 can)
1. Select a group of pictures (i've done this)
2. Change size (using Irfanview command line) (i've done this)
3. Send to Mail recipient

Preferably using a hot-key and not the mouse...

The Right-Click-Menu key or Shift-F10... :)

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

TotCmd jams up for me when I use the right-click -- Send To -- Mail recipient. The new message window pops up and I can send the message no problem, but when I come back to total cmdr, its frozen and I have to give it the three finger salute. Outlook 2000 is my default mail app.

Welcome aboard.

Crash after contextmenu - sounds like defective sheel extension.

Please have a look at the Wiki
