works fine here. Maybe it'S an keyboard issue? So enter is send twice from your keyboard and the corresponding Application is started?
Or a keyhook- program (AutoHotkey or anything)?
Another question is: where goes the focus to?

the topic title may be misunderstood i think. i cant find a way to edit it.
i dont use any 3rd party auto hotkey, etc.
the title should have said:
"losing focus immediately after pressing shift+f6"
it seems like to behave just enter is pressed i think. but too quickly even u cant understand it has been pressed.
the focus returns to total commander, just before the state of pressing shift+f6. the same file is at cursor, etc.
i ve a keyboard from the year 95. its keys are really comfortable and i cant find the same comfort from todays cheap keyboards therefore i use it.
there have never been problems related to the keyboard, i dont think it s the reason.

that s not abnormal. at those times the directory listing automatically refreshes. that s why it loses the focus.I noticed this loss of focus while loading a CD/DVD or ejecting the tray, and to me it happens every time. Also while inserting an USB stick.
but i dont know why pressing shift+f6 to quick rename .rar files makes it loses the focus. maybe it s related to tc s built in zip settings..
