Hello,
Can you please tell me if is there a way to limit the download speed when connecting to a FTP server?
Thank you!

If you're downloading via Background Transfer Manager, there is a checkbox for limiting the speed and an editbox where you can specify the speed you need.
For normal downloading AFAIK there is no such possibility.

You don't have such option when you connect to the server. But when you create a copy/move operation and send it to the background (check the appropriate checkbox in the dialog) there is a speedlimit checkbox available where you can
1. set the speedlimit
2. enable or disable the limit.
You can do that locally, too, if you use the background transfer manager (Alt+c then m ) for copying. And you can use the BTM also for ftp transfers.
