Main Directory not showing + or -
The display I have is set to SHOW>FULL, and I use this 95% of the time. I noticed the folders don't have a + sign next to it if it has subfolders, like Windows Explorer has. To get the + showing I switch to SHOW>TREE view. Viewing it this way is awkward for me, and like to know if it is possible to show the + with subfolders when using the SHOW>FULL mode?
Thanks,
Anthony (XP Pro SP2)

Hmm, I never missed such an option, but I think I like that idea. The '+'-sign then could also be used to open a folder with a single click (even if singleClickActivete is disabled), just like in expl0rer. As this requires more a screen space, it should be optional of course.
But I'm not sure about a possible display slowdown, as every folder has to be checked if it contains at least one subfolder. No sizes have to be calculated though, so perhaps its feasible.

For me the "+" sign is clearly a feature for a tree view.
There you need it to expand a branch in which case it turns to "-" that can collapse the branch.
On the other hand knowing whether a folder has subfolders or not, could be useful sometimes.
However, this will lead to poorer performance (not sure how much, though).

to see if the calculation leeds to poorer performance.
When using the field in define colors by filetype it will be calculated in the foreground...
You can define a custom column using the fieldHowever, this will lead to poorer performance (not sure how much, though).
Code: Select all
dirsizecalc.Contains Subdirectories (Background)
