Change setting files directly: open using .ini association

Post by *wanderer »

Currently, "Change setting files directly" option opens the INIs in notepad. It would be nice if it used the default text editor associated with INI files, or perhaps the editor defined in TC options, under Edit/View.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.

That has been discussed a few times already, the answer was that the user might have chosen a hex editor for F4.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Didn't know that. Sounds logical. Ok, how about:

It would be rare for someone to associate the .ini extension in Windows with something other than a text editor...
