In my case several people work sometimes on my computer and I don't want they change my settings. That's probably why Christian make it possible to install (or move) wincmd.ini in user profile. So I'd like to have all plugins settings there.

I'm waiting for a new version
I would like to wait couple of days to get some feedback about Far East languages. After this feedback or without it - ASAP.

What i need (as plugin writer) is just more flexible plugin interface!
But it seems we are sliding in the other discussion - about ini files. :wink: :)

Don't worry! It will work! At least i know where the bug hides. :D

BTW Can you print here you registry for
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ghisler\Total Commander?
TConsole1.07 doesnt work here, but 1.05 works, and my TC's registry is:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ghisler\Total Commander]
"IniFileName"=".\\wincmd.ini"
"FtpIniName"=".\\wcx_ftp.ini"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Ghisler\Total Commander]
"IniFileName"=".\\wincmd.ini"
"FtpIniName"=".\\wcx_ftp.ini"

I use the opposite path to let TC use wincmd.ini and wcx_ftp.ini in its same folder, and it works! :)

I think the Registry Value InstallDir is only useful for installing TC.

My poor English 8), it's relative path, and I mean that use the relative path, TC can find the wincmd.ini in its own directory.

Err, it's a question. If TConsole find the relative path in registry, then it should get the main process(TC)'s path,so...?

TConsole 1.05, paste the content into the TConsole, TConsole display the Chinese character incorrectly. And I had another problem, I cant type the character into the TConsole Command Prompt, only Quick Serch Dialog pops up. I tried to change the Quick Serch behavior in TC's option, still didnt work.

Well, TConsole 1.8 is ready.
ftp://ftp1.mgpsoft.com/Tconsole18.zip
Fixed bug (i hope) with different .ini file location options.

2WatchUer
I think you have to switch TConsole to "Start in secure mode" in order to type Chinese.

Thx! The secure mode works, now I can type command, and the Chinese charactors display correctly.

Haven't I told you that I also use relative paths for plugins in wincmd.ini's [ListerPlugins] section? :wink: If I edit the wincmd.ini to change the TConsole's full path to relative path like:TConsole=.\plugins\TConsole.wfx then the TConsole won't work. :(
