Calculate space of directories

Post by *Thany »

I ultimately want to sort directories on the size of their contents. What I do now, is press the spacebar on each directory as I iterate through them. Is there a way do to this more quickly or automatically?

There are currently two ways to achieve this:
More quickly: Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
Automatically: Use one of the background fields provided by DirSizeCalc

A known problem using the automatic approach is that TC waits for DirSizeCalc to finish directory size calculation and then starts sorting.
If anyone has a conceptional idea how to solve this problem don't hesitate to post it here.

More quickly: Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
Alt+Shift+Enter, actually. :)

Perhaps you could take a look at the VisualDirSize plugin?
