Panel pathname

Post by *Captain »

Hi

Is there a shortcut key to edit the panel pathname that appears at the top of the active panel - particularly useful if you are accessing a remote machine o n the network and know the name of the machine and just want to type it in.

cm_editpath, 2912

You can assign a hotkey to it with configur->Options->Misc.: Redefine Hotkeys (Keyboard remapping).

You can also edit this field by pressing [Shift]+[F6] on the ".." of a directory.

Maybe you should have a look at the Ultra TC Editors, a suite of tools for configuring TC. The Hotkey Editor has a list of all commands available, with a short description, too. And you can search froom within the editor for a certain keyword.

Hi,

the Command for that is 'cm_EditPath'. You can assign a hotkey for that or you just can press SHIFT+F6 when the cursor is on the Dir-Up-Entry in the filepanel (..).

Dang, just one more time you're a bit faster than me! I think I'll have to improve my typing speed

I am constantly impressed by the friendly quick replies of the TC users. Thanks a lot!
