Dir Brackets

Post by *pherretaus »

I have recently installed TC on my Flash Drive by using the downloadable installer.

It runs OK but even adding [DirBrackets=0] to the WINCMD.INI config file will not remove the brackets from the display.

Any help appreciated

Maybe your TC uses another INI-file than the one where you added the Dirbrackets-entry.
Click Help -> 'about' to see which INI-file is used by the running TC instance.

I suppose that the TC on the flash drive is simply not using the "right" wincmd.ini. Just have a look at "help/about TC " in the menu bar of TC. The last 2 lines tell you which ini files TC is using.

If you want TC to use an ini file within its installation directory (i.e. on the flash drive) then add the line

UseIniInProgramDir=7

to your wincmd.ini under [General settings]

and make shure that the windmd.ini does exist in the installation directory :wink: .

You should run the TC from the flash disk, and the choose Configuration - Edit settings files directly to make sure that you open the right ini file.
