FYI: Forum fix for image links (UserJS / Greasemonkey)

Post by *icfu »

As ghisler still doesn't allow inline image linking in the forum, Opera (and Firefox) users can try out this script, which fixes the annoyance by replacing the image links with the actual images:
http://userjs.org/scripts/general/enhancements/links-2-images

If you want to limit that script to TC website only, add this line to the // ==UserScript== section:

Code: Select all

// @include http://*.ghisler.ch/*
Of course you can also add the pure script without modifications to the site specific preferences of ghisler.ch available since Opera 9.

To disable/enable UserJS in Opera altogether, you can use this button, just drag it to the toolbar:
http://userjs.org/help/resources/toggle-user-javascript

Thanks!
Didn't work in the Beta9 for me, but the new Version 8.54 of Opera replaces all image -links with its pictures.
Browsing this forum and see all images without opening new tabs/window! Great!
Opera 9 (Beta) shows thumbnails for pages by "hoovering" over the browser -tabs, very nice!

Skins: Customize the look of Opera, my favorite is: CrystalOS Panther.

Greasemonkey: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greasemonkey

Kind regards

Well, I am using the newest Beta 9, it works. Make sure that you have configured the scripts dir and set Always Load User JavaScript=1 in opera6.ini. Otherwise scripts will work only with activated JavaScript.

I also thought so at the beginning but found them to be annoying at last, so I deactivated them thru opera:config. ;)
