Moving from/to substed drive to/from the "original driv

Post by *The Grizzly »

Hello

I hope this problem is not yet posted anywhere (i searched for it but didn't found anything).

The problem is: i have a lot of substed drives (w: for wwwroot, z: for downloads, etc).
C:\wwwdev\www is the w:\

if i MOVE something from c: drive to the w: drive, it takes a lot of time, because it seems that TC handles w: as a completely independent drive. Of course if i move smth from c:\blahblah to c:\wwwdev\www (which is the same) it takes only moments and the files are there.

Is it possible to "fix" this? (i know it's not a bug - but it would be a nice feature if you would do it).

thanks for reading!

Try please the following:
go to Confiruration-Operation-Copy/delete and say that W and C are from one drive (just type there CW).
Just wondering if that can help...
F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab... - I like to move IT, move IT!..

No, this will not help, sorry. Try moving via cut+paste (Ctrl+X Ctrl+V).

this works, the Configuration/Operation/etc didn't.

But, will a new version of TC be able to handle this correctly by moving with f6?
