[REQ] Adjust dialogs' sizes when non-default font used

Post by *Hacker »

This request was originally posted in the Slovak and Czech user to user forum - http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=11068 and I was asked to relay it here.

Could the dialog box sizes be adjusted when a larger font is used? The way it currently is, the text gets cut-off and becomes unreadable, see screenshots:

Before you ask, such a font is used because the primary display used is a TV, attached to a Home Theater PC.

TIA

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Have you provided a workaround to that user?

I mean some app like one from here:

F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab... - I like to move IT, move IT!..

A good workaround could be to increase the DPI in the system display settings.

XPEHOPE3KA,
No, I haven't. Any workarounds are welcome.
Though ResizeEnable is a nice tool, AFAIK it doesn't store window sizes.

Lefteous,
Will pass on, thanks.

Yep, this would be a nice feature.
But, as I'm sure that you know, this is not an easy thing to implement.
Windows doesn't give you a lot of support for this.

The only real support can be found in Java or third-party GUI libraries...
