Lister bug - find does not resume at cursor

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Lister bug - find does not resume at cursor

Post by *frenky »

When searching text file, I would expect lister to continue searching from the cursor position.
Lister ignores cursor position, and continues searching at the beginning of the screen (3 lines is defined in my case - default).

This behavior I consider a bug.

The behaviour comes from previous lister versions and hasn't been changed. I will consider it, but it would break previous expected behaviour...

Not necessarily, perhaps you could add bullet selector in "Search result" frame - one containing "Lines from top of the list:" and one containing "Resume at cursor" or something similar.
