I have got this error message with TC7:
It may be somehow related to TC Plugman, which was open at that time, but this is only a wild guess.---------------------------

Also, please check this screenshot, where you may see that directory names are not displayed (only the icons).
Pressing 'Yes' on the error message will not make TC work, it just displays the error again.
