I use very often UTF-8 files for my Extension Firefox translation in French.
It uses UTF-8 files without signature (BOM Byte Order Mark).
To see the news of the extension, I use the Compare By Content... function that works right. The UTF-8 file are bad shown but it is made in the same way in the 2 compared files.
But if I use the Edit mode function and save the changes made, all the special characters (already in the file) are updated to something bad
Can TC verify the format of the file (scanning all the file) before saving it to save it in the right format (UTF-8 without BOM in our case)?Best regards
