"nul" is shown as "c:\nul" when copying

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

"nul" is shown as "c:\nul" when copying

Post by *Flint »

It's just a cosmetical bug and it is very old, but anyway...

When copying some files to nul TC shows in the Copy Progress dialog that the files are copied to c:\nul. This looks a bit strange, as nul is not a subdirectory of c:\ at all. :)

This is intentional, TC really uses c:\nul as the target path!

Hm... Will it work if there is no C: drive at all?

And another question: maybe, in this particular case only show just "nul", so that the user was not confused? I understand that TC uses this path internally, but from the user's point of view there is no "nul" subfolder on the C: drive.

Yes, but the F5 copy function needs a defined target path.
