Copy Queue does not support asian characters (UTF?)

Hey guys!

I have some files which contain Japanese Kanji. The simple copy (F5) works fine. But If I try to copy them using the queue (F5 then F2), I only see a lot of '?'s instead of Kanjis in the queue window. And I do get the error message that TC cannot write write the file (name with lot of ?s) and I propably have to remove the write protection.

Copying in the background works fine.

Using Windows XP with all languages installed, and TC 7.02a.

Well maybe it is not a real bug, just a not supported feature. But would be nice if all characters were supported and I can use the queue also for these files.

Indeed you can only copy these files when Japanese is set as the language for non-Unicode programs. Only TC 7.5 will support Unicode also in the background transfer manager (I have implemented it already, but the beta test hasn't started yet).

I am not Japanese user but I see no errors for Hiragana, Katakana or Kanji with public beta of 7.50

The only thing I can complain is that names in title bar are very hard to read. Using bold font for "glyph characters" is not wise IMHO. Although this might be different for someone who uses Kanji on daily basis.

Thanks for confirming the fix!

The title bar font can be configured by the user in the control panel. But when I see some hand-drawn Kanji, I have to say that these bold ones are certainly easier to read.
