got lastest (2.12) version and after i configured it to not to follow junction points and symbolic links (just to clean my vista users directory - plenty of them there) i have tc crash every single time i try to display c:\users dir

working fine with all other directories and partitions, just that one gives me almost instant crash of total commander

is it just me or anyone else have that problem?

to be more exact:

tc crash only where i display C:\Users\Default\AppData\ with recursive on

i have only two subfolders (Local & Roaming) in C:\Users\Default\AppData\ and no files in that folder

i can turn recursive off and navigate to ALL subfolders

i can turn recursive back on where i am in either C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local or C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming and it it working fine until i go back to C:\Users\Default\AppData\ - it crashes then...

The only known reason that causes such an error is a junction or symbolic link that points to a folder above the current folder. Such infinite loops are currently not handled.

I found a bug, untranslated string.
I changed my language file, so now I have:

Code: Select all

; Prefixes.
B|KiB|MiB|GiB|kB|MB|GB=B|KB|MB|GB|SI kB|SI MB|SI GB
Unit names in the "Edit unit" window are not translated.

Screenshot:
Click

Also, for anybody interested, here's MS compliant English language file.

This is a known issue which already has been fixed for the upcoming version.

Thanks for your report.

I can confirm the problem. It's related to very long file name support in 2.13. The bug will be fixed in the next version.

What's the matter? How much? ;) :P

Sorting by size seems to be broken in the latest version.

i.e., 327.22KB is "larger" than 32.63GB. Apparently units were ignored and only numbers were compared.
