Can't stop search in compare contents panel

use search dialog when compare 2 big files , if u want search something, whern you press ok in search dialog, now u can't close this compare contents window and can't stop search. only wait. wait search finish...

search function can work well in lister panel.

Have you tried ESC (Escape) key?

of coz, but esc can't close window and can't stop search process when searching something

just only can escape when compare or search done or after search not found.

u know, ms release 2 version of microsft windows xp sp3 file, xpsp3_5512.080413-2113_eng_x86fre_spcd.iso and xpsp3_5512.080413-2111_eng_x86fre_spcd.iso

these are so big more than 400MB, and i want to what diferent in content, so i found this problem.

I think this problem can't appear when files size small than 100MB , because search is so fast.

I have checked that - it's indeed not possible to abort it now, I didn't notice that because you can't really compare so big files that waiting for the search is a problem. I will add support for the ESC key, though.

You have to know to discover a mistake in TotalCMD is really difficult

Can confirm that its possible in TC 7.5a to interrupt the search in compare by content by pressing ESC.
