I can confirm it works fine in TC 7.5.

if the multi-rar does have a password, why TC does not ask for it when double-clicking the rar?
instead an empty directory is shown.

According to:

ghisler(Author) wrote:Unfortunately it's currently impossible to list file names when they are encrypted. A lot of changes would be needed to make that work. It would also be inconvenient because the user would be asked for the password all the time: When browsing archives, searching the harddisk with option "archives" checked, etc.
Therefore it's currently not planned to change it.
I imagine how annoying automatic solution would be but I think that a command for showing encypted names on demand would be nice.

i dont see the annoyance really. better to be asked than just showing an empty folder without any information that it is an encrypted archive!

i dont see the annoyance really.
This will require many new options like "Don't ask for password" for search, synch and unpacking dialogs, at least "Skip" & "Skip all" buttons when password prompt will appear etc.

password protected rars are really common.
i think this should be definitly implemented.
better to ask than to render the archive useless?!
via wincmd.ini one could set the flags. i only need this for unpacking & dont care much about search/sync.
i want to have the possibility of unpacking protected archives,
this cannot be so difficult..

You can still unpack such encrypted RAR files internally now, but you need to go via the menu (or use Alt+F9).

i see.
if you cannot implement this when doubleclicking the archive, then some kind of info would be nice like <encrypted content>.
also when entering the wrong pass getting a "disk read error" is not very transparent.
thx
