Quick View: file name is not updated

Post by *pjotrb »

Swtich to quick view mode (Ctrl-Q), so the other panel shows the filename + its contents (text, image, hex etc).

Now select another file while still in quick view mode: the new content is shown, but the old filename remains in the panel header.

This happens with TotalCmd 7.04, on a laptop running Windows XP SP2.

Bye,
Peter

:) Hello !

• Confirmed here too !

- The name of the first viewed file remains for ever, whatever other files I select and display…

:) Hi !
…What happens if you encounter a zip file?
• It shows the contents, then the same contents for other ZIPs, so, basically the same bug…

Strange: you navigate into archive and QuickView some file then you can see valid name.

@Clo
I think that is what white meant.

Actually, that was not what I meant. I meant what happens if you encounter a zip with encrypted files or a zip containing a .nfo, .diz or .txt file?

Thanks for your report, I will fix it in TC 7.04a. Indeed the name is only updated when you go from file to file inside a zip file now...

Seems to be fixed for quite a while, so this could be moved to the 'fixed'-section IMO.
