The following should work on a button or via command line:

cd \\192.168.1.2\Public

with 192.168.1.2 the IP address of your MyCloud device.

Yes, that works locally.

The problem is how to access the drive when I am outside.

Such private addresses as 192. are not routed by Internet routers.

As far as I know you have to use an DynDNS (DDNS) service,
which "translate" your private IP to an Internet-IP (plus to a name)
So you get temporary, lets say 12.34.56.123, and also
e.g. "iPokey.dyn.org", which is redirected to your 192.168.1.2.

Read the documentation that came with the drive. More than likely you will need to download WD My Cloud on all devices.

You cannot use this method (cd address) remotely because the used SMB protocol isn't routed over the Internet.

You either need to use a routed protocol like WebDAV or FTP, or use a VPN tunnel to your home router.

Original WD MyCloud software is just rubbish.

Can you please help me make it work using TC? It seems I can't do it myself :(

I found this thread on how to connect via webDAV:
https://community.wd.com/t/enable-webdav/94727

You will need my webDAV plugin from here:
