FTP fails when uploading over 600k

Post by *wyf »

Hi,

I registered free hostspace in Kilu.de, and tried to upload to its FTP with TC7.0B2. This hostspace has no filesize limit per file. But when uploading goes up to about 600K, upload fails("OFFLINE") and I have to reconnect FTP.

Then I tried to do the same thing with FLASHFXP. Everything is ok and I uploaded a file over 100MB.

Is there any FTP setting I should change in TC?

I do not have any personal or winxp firewall here.

First of all you should update your TC to the latest version (7.04a) which is for free as usual ...

Next: Try to set option at FTP settings "Send command to keep connection alive"

BTW: Which Windows version do you use ?

Thanks for the fast response!

It's all about VERSION !!!
I tried 7.04a, works perfect, with AND without "send command to keep connection alive".

Upgrade is too complicated, so just now I tried to overwrite 7.0's "WCX_FTP.ini" with 7.04a's. It turned out fine.

So I did some comparison, the main differences are:

SUCCESS:
ConnectRetries=10
WaitDelay=31
transfermode=I
LogFile=%COMMANDER_PATH%\USER\TCFTP.LOG

FAIL:
ConnectRetries=60
WaitDelay=10
transfermode=X
FtpShowHidden=1
AutoDisconnect=2
keepalivetransfer=1
LogFile=

So I guess WaitDelay or transfermode is the point ???
