TC should offer "As Administrator" to read restric

Post by *Mormegil »

When the current user is not permitted to even read a file, and e.g. copying it elsewhere requires elevation, Total Commander is unable to copy it, saying “Error: Cannot read xxx! [Skip] [Skip all] [Retry] [Abort]”.

Total Command should offer to execute this operation “As Administrator”. (An error message is displayed when attempting to view the file with Lister, too.)

A typical example of such a file is c:\%SystemRoot%\Memory.dmp created by Windows when a bluescreen occurrs.

Fix confirmed! TC 7.50 public beta 1 / Vista Ultimate
Tested with "C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\Firewall\pfirewall.log"
<F3>Lister and <F5>Copy now asks for elevation.

Yes, I added this, thanks for testing! Unfortunately Lister plugins cannot view files this way, only the internal lister, sorry.
