Breadcrumbs demo

Post by *petergus »

I like the breadcrumbs demo on Lefteous site.

http://www.toolkiste.de/tc/blog

This solution is better that on Vista. Here I can select subfolders too.
I wonder how this is done with keyboard...

Having tried it out now i really don't see how this is going to be of much use for me. Beeing able to move/copy to a certain dir in the path could be used at times, but i think the fuctionality really could have stopped there.
The whole subdir hover with your mouse ordeal is clearly suboptimal, i'd rather just use my normal pane with all the extra functionality.

You mean [ConfiguratioN]? :)

Thanks for that tip, but it does not work as expected. I see two colored menu-like list, and i need to move mouse cursor to right (in zone of second colour) to see submenu...

BTW, Total Commander loses focus (become innactive) when Breadcrumbs menu appears. Is that by design?

p.s.: I hope you can understand what i trying to say with my "broken" english.

You're right: it's for pop up only.

For changing hover area take a look on:
help file wrote:BreadcrumbSeparator=-3

Sets the beginning of the zone in which the mouse cursor must be moved to open subfolders in a breadcrumb submenu:

0..100: Value in percent where the zone starts. 0=the entrire menu is used

-1,-2 etc: absolute location of the separator measured from the right, in multiples of the line height

I like it this way better!
Thanx.

When the directory you are viewing is too large you get a top and bottom scroll button.
(And a vertical scroll barr)
Is it possible that the scroll button's are activated by hovering over them.
Just like the other parts in the breadcrumb window???

You need to add another setting under Configuration section
[Configuration]
BreadcrumbSeparator=0

Yes it is by design, that's because breadcrumb menu is dialog not real menu.

ts4242 Thank you for detail explanations!

I understand... But is there any possibility to realize breadcrumbs function in different way? Maybe by making it like standard menu with submenus? This titlebar "blinking" just making me crazy...
Maybe i should post separate suggestion in appropriate subforum?

No need because it has been fixed in TC 7.50 PB2.
