Are you trying to establish an alternate forum? Isn't this here the place to discuss the beta?

It was not my intention. I've just wanted to invite people to beta test. Was it wrong to assume that someone might come here after reading linked post?

I wrote in red that any bugs should be reported here but if someone asks me for help elsewhere I will answer.

On the other hand: I've already seen few posts with "bugs" which came from lack of knowledge. Is it wrong to try to check is that such case first in other board, and then come here?

As for beta discussions: this is the right place but it's not the only one. I.e. there are few bugs reported on wincmd.ru board. Should they be posted only here and removed from there? I don't think so but I will hold it here if that's Ghisler's will.

Some users had this problem because of a multiple desktop software (and others because of other tools) "stealing" the focus from Total Commander. Do you run any such tools in the background? It doesn't happen here with an almost fresh Vista...

In one case I have dual monitor, the other is laptop. The only software that manages desktops and I use is powerpro (I don't use that functionality). But I killed it now (on my laptop - no dual screen config), restarted TC but no change, when I delete/copy/move focus is changed.

Any other tools running in the background which could be stealing the focus from TC?

I have identified that filebox extender causes that behavior in my case

aha! I use filebox extender. it is a key application for me (even if it doesn't work very well on either 64-bits or windows server 2008).

Can we make sure TC works with it?

Maybe this helps:

I don't currently understand why filebox extender is able to steal the focus from TC. Maybe the author of filebox extender has an idea?

I have the same problem in Windows XP SP3 and WindowBlinds installed. WindowBlinds is a tool to change the look of windows desktop and gives new skins.

This problem only exists in TC 7.5pb1. Version 7.04a works great.

If I disable WindowBlinds the lost-focus-bug is gone.

Can you make a list of situations in which the focus is lost, please?
