750PB1:BTM,already processed entry reappears

Post by *white »

* Open the same folder in left and right panel in Total Commander
* Select one file
* Select menu option Commands/Background Transfer Manager
* Click the + button
* Select the option Add selected items for copying
* Click the OK button to confirm the target path
* Click the OK button when the error "You cannot copy a file to itself!" is displayed
* Hit Tab repeatedly

The copy operation that was removed from the list reappears. However when the Start button is clicked the operation is not executed.

Confirmed!

I don't need to press TAB. After clicking OK copying is paused but file is still presented on the list.

In addition to fenix_productions:
As soon as you click on the START button the file is removed.

Not here. BTM title says "Downloading" and button changes to "Pause" but nothing really happens.

Trying to add same file once again either warns again or sometimes does nothing at all. It's fifty-fifty for me.

All right. Maybe we are seeing slighty different forms of behaviour on different Windows versions.

Guess we all agree on this part of white's steps:
* Open the same folder in left and right panel in Total Commander
* Select one file
* Select menu option Commands/Background Transfer Manager
* Click the + button
* Select the option Add selected items for copying
* Click the OK button to confirm the target path
* Click the OK button when the error "You cannot copy a file to itself!" is displayed
Now this is what happens here next:
* Back inside the BTM, click START
* The file is removed from the list
* The START button reads PAUSE and the BTM title is "Download"
* Go back to "Click + button" in white's list of steps.
* Repeat the steps as long as you please or get tired. :wink:

Alternative procedure:
As instructed by white:
* Hit Tab repeatedly
* First tab removes the file from the list
* The 6th tab key brings it back to the list

This is on
+ Windows Vista Home Premium, 32bit, ger
+ Total Commander 7.50 PB1

Cheers,
Karl

I can confirm too - the strange thing is that Windows sends me a "draw line" request for item with index -1, so TC draws the previous item. I will try to find a workaround.
