Couldn't save certain search parameters

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Couldn't save certain search parameters

Post by *vic2009 »

Bring up the "Find files" dialog, check "Find text" option, then go to "Load/Save" tab, save it as "findtext".
Now doubleclicking "findtext" will lead to "General" tab again. Then I found "Find text" unchecked.

Is it a bug or did I miss something?

I'm using TC7.5b6 now. Don't know if it would happen in previous versions. It only occured to me to do this tonight.

It's not being saved because you have no text to search for, so no use in having the "Find text" option checked.

So I can't save this kind of search: with "Find text" option checked and cursor in its input box, ready for search text in current folder.

Indeed you cannot save an empty search text, sorry. This is by design.
