Delete in background when moving to archive

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Delete in background when moving to archive

Post by *now »

It seems that when “Move files to archive” is selected when creating an archive, the actual delete can happen in the background under certain, to me unknown, conditions.

I have a utility that lets me send keys to a window when it appears. Whenever a window titled “Total Commander” with a window class of “TDLG2FILEACTIONMIN” a ‘B’ is sent to the window. Thus a ‘B’ is sent to the dialog that appears when creating an archive. Once the delete part begins, sometimes the Delete will be moved to the background.

The problem is that the Deleting: window remains visible after 100% has been reached.

Unfortunately I cannot confirm your report. Packing with Alt+F5 to ZIP (also with option "in background") does support the background button, and it works fine here.
