I used all of these options in the settings mmedia.ini, the result is - Error code = 80040154
when it is in the TC 8.18 (x32) plugin Mmedia.wlx 2.46 plays all the files properly

(x32) plugin Mmedia.wlx 2.46 plays all the files properly
When you test with WMP, are you sure that you are using the 64bits version of WMP.
in the 64bits version of Windows 7, WMP coexists both in x32 and x64 versions.
by default, the x32 was used by the system (it is the same for IE) to provide maximum compatibility with existing applications and codecs.
look here for more information :http://www.mydigitallife.info/switch-change-or-set-64-bit-windows-media-player-11-wmp11-in-windows-vista-x64-as-default/
if the x32 version of mmedia works but not the x64 one, the problem come from WMP64.
- x32 plugin used x32 version of WMP
- x64 plugin used x64 version of WMP

to be sure to launch WMP64, go to "program files" search for "windows media player" and start manually WMPplayer.exe, then test with mp3 and avi files.

Unfortunately, the version of WMP for XP x64 SP2 installed in "Program Files (x86)" in the Task Manager runs as wmplayer.exe *32. How to install x64 version in the "Program Files" I do not know.

I downloaded WMP11 from the site of Microsoft: (Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP (64-bit) is designed to work with Windows XP Professional x64 Edition)

you should install both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Media Player 11 for x64 systems:
wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=158425 and
wmp11-windowsxp-x64-enu.exe from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=200073

I open the file in Windows Explorer, all x64 programs (except WMP 10-11) are set properly, (tc80x64beta18, ffdshow_x64, VidCoder-1.2.6-x64)
on the forum http://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=62&topic=10589 I was told that WMP x64 is available only for Windows Vista and newer.

Do you have an opportunity to change mmedia.wlx, to make it work on Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 and Windows XP SP2 x64?

to victor
the link given by iana is for WinXP 64 bits.
Do you have an opportunity to change mmedia.wlx
mmedia64 works with all x64 windows but WMP64 must be present.
you can't used x64 plugins with x32 library.

I didn't realize that you are using WinXP64.
you can activaete the option infopresencewmp=1 in mmedia.ini (or "Check WMP version" in option tab) normally this option test the presence and version of WMP.

flickering...

Post by *JustAnotherTCUser »

hello fg_2002fr,

thank you very much for this plugin!!
it's very useful for me :-)

one question about quick view mode:
when i scroll through video files in file panel, there's for every file an annoying flickering in the quick view panel. it looks like the plugin is always loaded/initialized again for each file.

is there a way to avoid this?
maybe this could change that behaviour?! -> http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=104948

regards

ListLoadNext isn't implemented in mmedia, I will see if I can easily do it.

After 3 minutes 120mb in ram, when i close file there is still 100mb, Total not free the ram
After 15 minutes i have 500mb.., 30min over 900mb, after close preview the same there is still 480/900mb in ram

Tested:
Win 7 SP1 (x86)
K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 8.0.0
Total: 7.56a, 7.57a

This can be problem with codec's because problem persist only with this specific file type, this is special training file, when i play normal movie there is no problem

MMedia ver 2.52
------------------
Here is the new version of MMedia with implementation of ListLoadNext function.
ogg_vorbis libraries to display tags and informations can now be placed in the same directory as MMedia.

the zip file contains both 32 and 64-bit version of Mmedia either in the statically linked version or the dynamically linked one.
Use the plugin auto-install interface and try to install first the DL variant of this plugin. if TC display an error message then you are missing MFC9 DLL so install the statically linked version of this plugin.

other fixes:
- Fixed : behavior of key 'F'
- Fixed : ID3v1 & 'ID3v2 frames' not updated when file change (for m3u & pls files)
- Fixed : Crash with "autoclose" option in QuickView

You can download it here:

Size: 1300 KB

Hi Krasusczak,
I tried MMedia with standard codec/container (AVI, MP4, MKV...) with ffdshow installed both in 32 or 64 bits versions without memory leak.
When you close MMedia, all the memory isn't freed because Media Player stay loaded until TC is closed but the memory used by MMedia is released.

Try with another codec if exists.

Hi MaxX,

I can't reproduce this error on a similar configuration (Win 7 x64 -TC8b24)

Could you tell me :
which version of MMedia you are using,
which version of Windows Media Player is installed,
which interface is choosen in MMedia,
if the "autoclose" option is checked or not,
if this error is shown with many MP3s,
if the behavior is the same with video,

thanx for the feedback
