I has fixed icon bug already.

It seems that FsExecuteFile function become broken (I made some corrections in its code). If I execute executable via link in VP on Enter, all is ok, but if I try to execute same link via command line (this way TC calls same function but with another parameters), nothing happens. Wait for updated version please, I'll try to fix it today. :)

Virtual Panel 2.0.4.1154:
* loading external icons for scripts bug (introduced in 2.0.4.1150)
* executing via command line bug (introduced in 2.0.4.1150)

Thanks to infimum!

Old file version

Post by *krasusczak »

Hello

In this realise: "VirtualPanel 2.0.5.1200 32/64" You use old file version

You take:
VPBatch.exe from date 2011-1-26 ver. 1.0.0.40
in version 2.0.4.1154 VPBatch.exe were from 2011-8-21 ver. 1.0.0.42

1033.lng & 1049.lng 2011-4-15 ver. 2.0.2.1100
in version 2.0.4.1154 these files were from 2011-9-3 ver. 2.0.2.1150

I'm not sure about main file VirtualPanel.wfx from which version this file was compiled to new one

Thank you, krasusczak, I've updated distributive. :)
I packed last package from work PC where distributive folder contained older versions, now I updated them.

Hi,

Is it possible to mount Virtual Panel to Drive?

I'd like to access Vitrual Panel on Drive Buttons.
I forgot VP is a plug-in and tried to mount as network folder. Failed to do that, digged in subst cmd.
Finally, I realized this is a plugin.

Sorry but it is impossible. VP can be accessed only within TC since it works within its address space.

Ahh, what do you think of accessing VP from drive buttons? I'd seen a similar feature in dos navigator long before.

Or is it possible to access VP by shortcut?

VP is a kind of virtual temp drive and it should be easily accessed if possible.

TC doesn't allow to add custom drive buttons.
You may drop any VP folder onto TC buttonbar, or use directory hotlist to quickly jump to frequently used VP dir, or manually create user-command with cd command and call it from TC main menu or via hotkey.

Multiple virtual folders

Post by *gskoczylas »

It is possible to have several VirtualPanel tabs but all such tabs have exactly the same contents - because all tabs uses the same VirtualPanel.lst file.

Is this possible to have several VirtualPanel tabs with different contents?

Sorry if it is already described somewhere, but I can't find such information.

Yes, it was discussed and answered already (e.g. here). You may open different virtual folders in that tabs, or you may install multiple VPs in TC and open them. Every VP should be installed into its personal folder with VirtualPanel.ini (in such case each VP can have own settings).

Which icons? I see normal icons in thumb view. Even thumbs for text or image files just like in regular panel.

However, I can see that TC shows default icons for EXE files in thumb view. But if I switch to 32x32 icons in brief view and then enable thumb view, TC shows icons correctly... My function return extracted icon's handle in both modes so I don't know why it works in this way...

I've reported this as a bug, let's wait for Mr. Ghisler's answer.

Actually it is not a solution to switch to 32x32 icons in brief mode so I'll search reason of such behaviour. Thank you for your report.
