no copy dialog

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

no copy dialog

Post by *VS_fan »

in response to F5 the standard windows dialog box appears - Copy n file(s) to X:\Y - instead of TC copy dialog box with options

Total commander 7.50a not registered
windows XP Sp3 PL - windows XP standard blue style

funny, after changing to newstyleprogress=0 for few days it worked properly, but returned to the initial behaviur after renaming a file

is there any hidden option to set ?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

uff, I am not perceptive enough

actually it depends on the type of referece to a directory
the bad behavior results from \\references
e.g. copying to \\my documents\*.* causes "no copy dialog"
while copying to c:\Documents and ...\my documents\*.* behaves OK

and depending on navigation TC switches from \\ type to c:\.. type or not
so it is a bit difficult to notice

2VS_fan: While \\my documents\*.* is a virtual folder, c:\Documents is a physical folder.

Handling of virtual folders is very restricted at TC.

You may prefer the physical folders and use a command like "cd %$PERSONAL%"
For more of such special variables see TC-Wiki.

there is no problem with nawigation, but strange for me behaviour if one copies from/to own documents folder

So, for you this is not a bug but designed behavior. For what ?
